Reason for recall

Array. WASHINGTON, Aug. 7, 2026 – Shan Distribution Network, Inc., located in Carol Stream, Ill., is recalling approximately 5,084 pounds of frozen Siluriformes breaded Swai fish fillet and stick products because they were produced in the United Arab Emirates, a country that is not eligible to export Siluriformes fish to the United States, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.  The frozen Siluriformes breaded Swai fish fillet and stick products were produced in December 2025, and have use before dates in June 2027. The following products are subject to recall [view labels]: 13.75-oz. boxes containing Al Kabeer spicy “Zing Fish Fillets Breaded Partially Cooked Swai Fish Fillets” 10.58-oz. boxes containing Al Kabeer “Fish Sticks Breaded Swai Fish” 330-g boxes containing Al Kabeer “Breaded Fish Fillets” The products do not bear an establishment number nor a USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.                                   The problem was discovered during routine FSIS inspection activities.
