Reason for recall

CGMP Deviations: FDA lab confirmed presence of an impurity, N-Methylnitrosobutyric acid (NMBA) in the finished product above the interim acceptable daily intake level.

Nitrosamines are impurities that can form during drug manufacturing or storage. Above the FDA acceptable intake limit, long-term exposure may raise cancer risk. The FDA advises patients to keep taking the medicine until they have a replacement.
