Reason for recall

Product potentially contaminated with Salmonella. Routine, random product sampling by FDA revealed the presence of Salmonella in a retail package of macadamia nuts packaged by the recalling firm.

Salmonella causes fever, diarrhea and abdominal cramps, usually 12 to 72 hours after eating contaminated food. Most people recover without treatment, but severe cases can need hospital care.
